IT Support Technician

Years at Telcion: 1

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?

One professional skills that I am currently working on is obtaining my Security+ Certificate. I just think it’s an important skill to have in my field of world especially because data security is vital to all organizations.

How to you prefer to start your day at work?

I prefer to start my day at work with a cup of coffee and checking all my tickets, emails, messages, and calls. It allows me to map out my day.

Really, I don’t think I actually even like the coffee, but I just feel like I’m supposed to drink it for some reason. It’s really just for the vibe.

What’s your biggest work pet peeve.

When people leave their K-cups in the Keurig instead of just throwing them away. It really irks me.

If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?

Golf. It’s the most frustrating thing I have ever done but I keep coming back to it because all it takes is me piping one drive down the middle of the fairway and it becomes the greatest thing ever. So, it would be nice to just be consistently good at it already.

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

My favorite way to unwind after a busy day is to go hit some golf balls. I also love to just chill and watch movies with my wife and kids.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was a kid I was certain I was going to be in the NBA. Then I stopped growing so I decided to start looking into IT.

What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Slow down and enjoy the moment. Being an adult is a scam! Also, don’t stop working out or your six-pack will disappear and it’s too hard to get it back.

What’s your favorite sport to watch and which team do you root for?

My favorite sport to watch it football. The team I root for is the 49ers.

What’s your favorite TV show—the one you’re always watching on repeat?

This one is actually kind of tough because there are so many to choose from. It’s a toss-up between That 70’s Show, Family Guy, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. There are way better shows but those are the shows I fall asleep to every night.

Thank you, Jerry!
