Senior Voice & Collaboration Project Engineer

About the Job

At Telcion Communications Group, a voice & collaboration engineer is a specialist in the implementation of projects surrounding the entire suite of Cisco Collaboration products. These include all flavors and versions of CUCM, Unity, CCX, CER, IM&P, Expressway, and ISR gateways. Telcion is heavily engaged in moving our clients to hybrid and hosted platforms that mix with Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center, and most of our new projects involve some sort of integration with these platforms. Although we talk about these as voice applications, many aspects involve video and collaboration components using Cisco video endpoints & Webex, along with 3rd party integrations that include MS Teams and a host of other applications such as Informacast and various iterations of attendant console. It is expected that the person in this position is highly experienced with SIP configurations on Cisco routers for both PSTN and 3rd party integrations, and is well versed in working with carriers to port numbers and migrate services. This position requires a heavy dose of project planning experience. Many of our projects are complex and absolutely require thorough pre-planning before any execution can begin. You will be working with a project manager in many aspects, but are also expected to provide full project plans and work breakdown structures for the implementation of the project. If you have a disdain for planning, this will not be the job for you. Telcion maintains a pre-sales engineering team, and this team is also supplanted by project engineers. All project engineers are expected to provide pre-sales consulting, design, and scope development on new opportunities when needed.
